Lee`s Grocery in Tampa

Lots of contenders for best pizza in Tampa (and best pizza in the Heights), but Lee’s Grocery stands out. I’m so excited I finally got to try it. Really laid back, great vibe - staff is super friendly - superb beer selection (both bottle and draft). The food, though, is the real highlight. The pizza menu isn’t too different from other options in the area, but there’s some special nuance to the crust or sauce or SOMETHING that makes it incredible. The wings are also really good - I would recommend getting the BBQ Sriracha (a mix of the two flavors). Gonna be making this a regular spot for sure.

Lee's grocery was recommended to us by a local Brewery. They have a very great selection of local beer and their wings were the best I have ever had. The only issue is parking. There's only room for a couple cars to park on the curb. But they may have parking elsewhere that I'm not aware of.

This place! Yes! Great beer and pizza. Definitely a bit of a hidden gem. Had a great experience there while some friends and I went while another friend from out of town joined us. We were all very much about Lee's Grocery and will definitely be heading back soon.

Seriously the best wings and pizza in Tampa!!!! The staff are all super friendly and will help you pick out a new beer from their huge selection. If you are thinking about coming here, you REALLY should give this place a try!

The moment my son and I sat down we instantly felt at home. The atmosphere, the staff, the quality of service and food were everything we could hope for in a father / son spot.

Always love going here! Laid back place to kick it with friends. The pizza that they have here is top quality. As a vegetarian I can always find great pizzas. My wife who is not vegetarian also always find great pizzas as well! They would switch out types of pizzas to keep their menu fresh. This place is a gem!

If you haven't been, you are missing out!The pizza is fantastic, everything that a good pie should be. The main event though, that's their wings! We had the sweet Thai Chile and the siracha barbeque wings. Wow! Best wings I have had. Ever. The beverage selection did not disappoint, the variety and quality was spot on. The service was great, the place has a really cool vibe. There was everything right about the meal we had there. It was so good everyone at the table put down their phones and forgot to take pictures!

Best wings I’ve had in a long time. They’re oven baked and tossed so you don’t feel as guilty as with fried wings. Pizza is 👌🏾Stone baked. Service isn’t five star but really that’s the best in a chill spot like this. Craft beer selection is legit. I’m a little wary of posting this review cause it might bring all the posers 😛Love this place.

No pretense here. They only do three things, and they do them great. Pizza, wings and beer. Throw in the vibe and Lee's might just be perfect.

The pizza was good, the service was Ok, seating accomodations are Ok, but not that good for larger groups. I would come back for sure

The music is great always. They have the best selection of beers. And sell singles to 24 packs. Don't miss out if you are in the area.

Great pizza, craft beers and atmosphere. Their people make Lee's an awesome place and a community asset.

Firstly, I apologize for not taking pictures of the wings. I was hungry. But they fell off the bone so fast I couldn’t dip them in my blue cheese. The hot sauce is worthy and it was not breaded. My favorite wings so far. Second, we did 2 pizzas. I had an itch to scratch for extra cheese pepperoni and the boys wanted the all meat “dead man’s party”. The crust is amazing: fluffy and sturdy to hold all ingredients. The personal size is perfect for one, the large is perfect for 3. Beer is varied AND you can take a six (or mixed) pack home. Definitely my new favorite.Update 6/15/18: add extra cheese to any specialty pizza if you want awesome. If you want diet pizza, keep it normal. FYI.

Lee's is a cool spot! Pizza was great. Local beer selection is awesome. I'd recommend going with one of their menu choices for pizza. We did a half & half pie... and "The Message" plus pepperoni was way better choice than our custom half with meatballs & ricotta. People raved about the wings so we had to try them. The hot wings were not hot at all, but still tasty. 4.5 stars overall!

Consistently Great! Chill staff. Casual atmosphere with a variety of great tunes. Could be 80s rap, reggae, punk, ska. Always something different. Love it all.

My boy and I had a great time with excellent pizza and some tasty adult apple cider. Check This Place Out, definitely worth your time.

This place is really unique. The ambiance is cozy and relaxed. We sat by the pizza bar where they cook the pizza in front of you. The ingredients are fresh and the flavors are invigorating. A must try. The dessert is also a must, save your appetites!

Very small, quaint spot. Used to be a little grocery (Since 1886 according to our server), hence the name. Probably more of a neighborhood stop. Excellent pizza. Nice section of craft beers. Has the old refrigerated cases lining the walls filled with beers. Has table tops and a bar and two center long tables where you can sit with a stranger/ new friend. Walls are decorated with great album covers that beg for a scooter contingency visit.... driving up on your classic Vespa for pizza, wings and beer! I would definitely recommend an evening of casual dining here.

Fantastic selection of bottled beers and a good selection of beers to be found on tap. The interior space is really welcoming and when you enter you should feel like you are walking into your own neighborhood bar. Great local pub/restaurant serving up a good bottled beer selection and drafts on tap, plus some great tasting pizza to go along.The place has a warm local hangout type of vibe. A bit hipster and eclectic look and feel as you enter with a nice outdoor seating area. Not at all pretentious and you will feel welcome.Their pizza's are darn good but prepare to wait and wait and wait. It took about a good hour to get our order and that's with the place not being that crowded. But. it is worth the wait.

Lee’s grocery is a pizza and wing joint, and it’s amazing. It’s got the right vibes and some darn good food. We orders the garlic parmesan wings and they were good sized, meaty, and dripping in parmesan garlic sauce. The pizza was delicious too, the crust was done just right! Delicious. It looks unassuming from the outside but the inside has a chill atmosphere. They also have an array of local and other craft beers. 5/5 would recommend.

This place is so cool. The pizza is super delicious but honestly the best thing they have going is the wings. They are so good! On top of that, the craft beer selection is great, the service is excellent and everybody here is always in a good mood. I would recommend going and eating in (hopefully at a less crowded time) to get the full experience of the place. The neighborhood it's in is historic Tampa Heights and is very pretty, surrounded by 100 year old houses and huge oak trees.

After trying Eddie & Sam's pizza the other day, a couple buddies suggested I try Lee's Grocery. I stopped by for a beer and a quick lunch. It is a little spot in a neighborhood that you would never expect to have great food, but they do. They have quite a few beer options, a few pizza selections, and they offer wings. The service was friendly and the food came out in decent time. I ordered a supreme pizza with jalapeños instead of green peppers. I really liked that they used fresh jalapeños as it added a little extra spice. The sauce and crust were tasty. It was great spot for lunch. It is tiny, and have seen it get quite busy at times, so be prepared for a wait if you go at peak times. Overall, I enjoyed my lunch and would be back if I was in the area. It is a great neighborhood pizza joint.

I would recommend 100% to come hang out and chill.They have a nice courtyard outside with a great selection of music playing. Amazing selection of beer! If you like beers this is the place This is a jewel for all beer lovers. Pizza was by far one of the best I've had in all Tampa. I will definitely come back just for the pizza. The wait time is longer than I'd like it to be but definitely worth it!

Great spot. Tons of beer. Drink from tap or grab one out of the cooler and sip out of the bottle or can (they'll pour it into a glass if you want). Pizza dough is mellow mushroomish. Topping are fresh. My favorite non-NY style pizza anywhere in Tampa. Wings can be over cooked but, the sauce is good. Usually get a side of the medium for pizza dipping. Bring your dog and sit outside!

Lee's has the best pizza!! I love the thin and crispy crust, so good. Their Pesto w/Spinach, Mushrooms, Jalapeno, & Feta is so yummy in the scariest way. Treat yourself!!

An amazing local spot to go grab pizza beer and wings. My favorite is the message with a nice brew. I usually sit in the awesome outdoor seating area. Can't believe this is in the middle of the fetching Tampa Heights neighborhood

Love this place. The name is a bit misleading, it's not a grocery store at all. It's a bar with a great selection on tap, and even more to choose from in the refrigerators to take home! They also have some food, like great pizza and wings! Definitely recommend checking this local treasure out

I live in NYC now but still keep my residence which is right across from Lee's the only thing I crave when I come home to visit is Lee's Pizza. It's a neighborhood joint, friendly, best pizza I've ever had and it has a cool, relaxed vibe. The beer is great, local and they always have a great selection on tap or in the coolers. Wait staff is super! Great outdoor space, family friendly and what else could you ask for.

Had Lees for the first time last night . Let’s just say these are THE BEST wings in Tampa , hands down . I’m from Georgia , where we are known for our wings , so I was a little disappointed when I moved here because I could find any decent wings. Glad I stopped by Lee’s . The pizza was great and huge as well. You pay for quality here, it’s worth it . I will be back soon for another order if those wings!
